Dear colleagues (and guests!)

Please join us for the April 2024 Divorce, Separation and Reconfigured Families SIG on April 24th from Noon-1PM via Zoom. This month we will be joined by Marlo Van Oorschot, an attorney and expert in Family Law, who will be leading a discussion on Grey Divorce (divorces involving older adults) with a presentation followed by Q &A. We hope you will join us and, since April is an open house month for LACPA, please feel free to invite your colleagues who may not yet be members but are interested!

Marlo Van Oorschot, Esq.

Marlo graduated Cum Laude from California Polytechnic University, Pomona with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in Finance, Real Estate and Law. She then attended Southwestern School of Law and started practicing in family law in 1994. After several years of working in various prestigious family law firms, in 2001 Marlo opened her own law practice dedicated exclusively to family law matters. Marlo has been named as a “Rising Star Super Lawyer” and “Super Lawyer” by Los Angeles Magazine, and holds the highest “AV® Preeminent™ Peer Rating” from the authoritative Martindale-Hubbell guide. Marlo regularly blogs on family law issues but her more detailed discussions of divorce-related concerns have appeared in such authoritative publications as the Los Angeles Daily Law Journal, the American Bar Association’s GPSolo magazine, been quoted in media outlets and was a featured speaker in professional education program West LegalEd Center audio podcast, “The Grey Divorce: Its Impact on the Lawyer, the Lawyer's Practice and the Lawyer's Second Season”. Marlo is also the author of “How to Survive Grey Divorce: What You Need to Know About Divorce After Age 50.
